FAQs:

Q1: How does water vapour move out of a leaf?
A1: Water vapour moves out from region of higher concentration in leaf to region of lower concentration in surrounding air by diffusion down concentration gradient.

Q2: What are adventitious roots?
A2: Adventitious root  are roots in an unusual place, that originates from stem or leaf tissue rather than from another root, often where a branch or other part contacts soil or damp material. Adventitious roots are not ordinarily expected, and are often the result of stress or injury.

Q3: What happens to plant tissue below ring in 'ringing' experiment and why?
A3: Withers due to lack of nutrients caused by interrupted translocation resulting from removal of phloem.

Q4: What can bubble be introduced into water-filled graduated capillary tube of potometer ?
A4: Fill bent capillary tube with water by opening tap while dipping tube into beaker of water, lift bent capillary tube above water so that air will be sucked in due to suction/pulling force and immediately dip bent capillary tube again into beaker of water.
